jenn & kyle

I met this wonderful couple about 9 months before they said "I do" and it has been great getting to know them. Jenn told me her favourite flower is snapdragons and she took it as a sign that I was meant to do her wedding flowers. I am happy fate intervened. :)

One thing that I love about being a home based business is I rely on word of mouth referrals to continue to gain more clients. You may notice familiar faces popping up between photos, maids of honour become brides, brides become bridesmaids, grooms become bestmen, and groomsmen become the groom. The intricate web that is being woven within the Snapdragon family has been a really enjoyable experience to watch and I love getting to show up on site and see familiar faces. The part that I wasn't expecting was how those referrals will run through families, so through Jenn and Kyle I was introduced to Kassidy and Mitch. Kassidy and Kyle are siblings (you will notice a previous blog post about Kassidy and Mitch's beautiful wedding). This made my job more exciting because I felt like I really got to know this family and it was such an honour to be able to work for them.

Now, the really unexpected part is that they aren't my only set of siblings this year! I have a couple sisters that I have had the privilege of providing florals for this summer/fall so stay tuned for their upcoming posts! Cheers to all the wonderful families entrusting me with their wedding day florals!

Now, on to Jenn's flowers... Blush, ivory, silver and hints of green provided a beautiful colour palette to create these bouquets. The blooms used included gorgeous cymbidium orchids, blush pink peonies, fluffy astilbe, lime green hypericum berries, and silver brunia. We also did up a simple garland for the archway made of Italian ruscus and eucalyptus.
